About the Lancer Tactical Rubber Rail Covers

The Lancer Tactical Rubber Rail Covers comes packaged with 12 pieces to cover whichever portion of your rail you'd like. Rail covers serve as protection to your hand when you grab a rifle equipped with a rail system forend. Those picatinny rails can be harsh to grab onto so these rail covers will do the trick. Another added benefit is with the rubbery texture, grabbing onto the gun won't be very difficult and you will have a positive grip. The rail cover has small bumps built in so your hand can grab better.. These could even add a bit of style to your stock looking airsoft rifle so yours doesn't look like the next guys. Don't overlook what a basic accessory like this can add to your primary!

Rail covers are just one of the many types of accessories you can add to an airsoft gun with a picatinny rail system. Rail systems (in common speak we omit mentioning the picatinny part) were invented to give firearms the modularity needed to add on modern accessories and optics that would normally have required gunsmith work and modifications to a gun. The picatinny rail (otherwise known as MIL-STD-1913 spec) draws its roots from the weaver style rail which was similar looking but a bit crude by comparison. Weaver and picatinny accessories are limited in cross compatibility despite looking the same.

What else could you add with your picatinny rail system? The sky is pretty much the limit when it comes to accessories. Lights, lasers, iron sights, reflex and red dot sights, grips, bipods, etc. If you have a full length rail system though, you will have a lot of uncovered real estate. You can use these rail covers to finish off and contour the area where you grab our gun. For a completely empty side of a 7 inch handguard you can cover the entire side with just 4 rail segments.

These can go on anywhere on your rail system. Simply flex the rail cover so the grooves on the back of the rail section grabs onto the picatinny rail. No tools are required.
