Airsoft in Denver & Colorado: Where to Play, What It Costs, and How to Start

Where to play airsoft near Denver

FAF Airsoft Field at Flat Acres Farm (11321 Dransfeldt Rd, Parker, CO 80134) is our field, about 20 minutes from Denver. Open play runs with structured, refereed games including day and night sessions. The field mixes structures and natural cover, so both CQB players and riflemen get their kind of fight.

What a day looks like:

• Tickets: Grab a field ticket online before you come. Playing monthly? An annual pass pays for itself.
• Rentals: Full rental packages with gun, mask, and BBs, so you can try airsoft owning nothing.
• Age: Kids as young as 10 regularly play at our field. Every minor needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and every player gets a safety briefing before their first game.
• Chrono limits: Every gun is chronographed before play. Standard rifles run 1.5 joules and below, DMRs up to 2 joules with a magnified optic, and bolt action snipers up to 3 joules with a 100 foot minimum engagement distance.

If you are coming from Colorado Springs, we are about an hour north on I-25, and plenty of Springs players make the drive for weekend open play.

The store: try guns before you buy them

Our retail store in Parker is the largest airsoft store in Colorado. That matters for one simple reason: you can hold the gun before you buy it. Feel the weight, shoulder it, test the trigger, and have a tech explain the difference between the $180 rifle and the $350 one in plain English.

The store stocks:

• Hundreds of AEGs, gas blowback pistols, and sniper rifles on the wall
• Full gear: masks, plate carriers, batteries, chargers, and upgrade parts
• An in house repair bench staffed by techs who work on airsoft guns all day

We also do gun repair and upgrades. If your gun stopped shooting or you want it shooting better, bring it in.

Airsoft is a team shooting sport played with 6mm plastic BBs. Games run from quick 15 minute skirmishes to all day military simulation events. Here is the honest starter path we give every new Colorado player:

1. Play once with a rental before buying anything. You will learn what kind of player you are (fast and close, or patient and far) and that should drive your first purchase.
2. Buy eye protection first. Full seal goggles rated for impact. This is the one non negotiable item in the sport.
3. Your first gun should be an AEG between $150 and $250. Electric rifles handle Colorado’s temperature swings better than gas guns, which lose power in cold weather. Our starter kits bundle everything together.
4. Dress in layers. Front Range weather can serve four seasons in one game day. Knee pads are worth more than camo.

Airsoft birthday parties and groups

We host birthday parties, youth group events, and private team building days at the field. For younger kids or mixed age groups we also run GellyBall and gel blaster parties, which deliver the same team action with soft gel balls that barely sting. Parties include rentals, a dedicated referee, and a party area. Most parents tell us the same thing afterward: the kids talked about it for weeks. Book early for spring and summer weekends because slots fill fast.

Colorado airsoft FAQ

Is airsoft legal in Colorado? Yes. Airsoft replicas are legal to own and play with. They must keep their orange tips for sale and transport, and you should treat and store them like real firearms out of respect for how they look.

How old do you have to be to play airsoft in Colorado? There is no legal minimum age to play, and we see kids as young as 10 thrive at our field with a parent signed waiver. To purchase an airsoft gun you must be 18. More detail in our airsoft age guide.

What does it cost to start? A rental day runs less than a night at the movies. Getting fully outfitted with your own rifle, goggles, and a battery setup typically costs $250 to $350.
