Every Denver bachelor party ends up at a brewery. That part is easy. The hard part is the afternoon before, when you need something the whole group can do together, that works for 8 to 20 people, and that does not require anyone to be an expert. 1. A private airsoft battle at FAF Airsoft Field, Parker
Thirty minutes from downtown, FAF Airsoft Field gives a bachelor party two fields to fight over: The Market, a close quarters field with tight corners, and The Prison, a themed outdoor complex with buildings, towers, and trenches. Referees run objective missions, rental packages cover the rifle, full face protection, and BBs, and nobody needs experience. Groups of 10 or more can book a bachelor party package with a private group area. Friday night games under the lights are the popular slot. Airsoft stings less than paintball and there is no paint on anyone's clothes for the evening.
2. Sporting clays at Kiowa Creek
East of the city near Bennett, Kiowa Creek Sporting Club runs sporting clays courses where a group can shoot a round together with a guide. It suits mixed experience groups and pairs well with the airsoft afternoon if you want a full shooting themed day.
3. Topgolf Centennial
Bays hold six people, so book adjoining bays for a bigger group. Food and drinks come to the bay and nobody has to be able to golf. It is 20 minutes from Parker if you are stacking it with the field.
4. Go karts at Unser Karting
Unser Karting and Events in Centennial runs electric karts on an indoor track with timed heats, so the group gets a leaderboard and a reason to trash talk. Race packages cover several heats per person.
5. Axe throwing in Denver
Bad Axe Throwing and several other Denver venues run private lanes for groups with a coach who keeps it safe and runs a bracket. It takes about an hour and a half, which makes it a good bridge between an afternoon activity and dinner.
6. Whitewater rafting on Clear Creek
Idaho Springs is 40 minutes west of Denver and the outfitters there run half day trips from May into September. Pick the class of rapids that fits the least confident guy in the group, not the most.
7. A Rockies game at Coors Field
Cheap tickets, a rooftop bar in right field, and it puts you in LoDo for the evening. Group tickets are easy to get for weekday games.
8. A show at Red Rocks
If the dates line up, nothing in Denver beats it. Buy early, take a shuttle, and do not plan anything after.
9. Black Hawk casinos
An hour into the mountains. Table games, a few decent steakhouses, and hotel rooms if the group would rather not drive back.
10. The brewery crawl, done properly
RiNo has the highest density of breweries in the city within walking distance. Pick three, book a table at the last one, and do this after the activity, not before.
How to build the day
The groups that have the best time do one physical activity in the afternoon, eat early, and leave the night open. Airsoft or go karts from 1 to 4, dinner at 6, breweries after.
