The ICS CQB / SPR Combo is a brand-new product produced by ICS directly along with Fox Airsoft. This package includes an ICS UK1 MTR S1 Transform4, an ICS UK1 Captain complete upper receiver, and a metal ICS UK1 Captain flash hider. This package is perfect for any player trying to transition between outdoor and indoor FPS limits while saving money and preventing headaches. 

Out of the box, the SPR upper in this combo shoots right under 400 FPS, making it perfect for the SPR role at just about any airsoft field. It features a 14.5" outer barrel and a metal, full-length, 13" Keymod compatible rail system. This rail has keymod slots available on the bottom and both sides, as well as a full-length picatinny rail on top. It has a pair of ICS flip-up backup sights that are just as easy to deploy as they are to use.
 

On the SPR upper, we added a  Speed Keymod Angled Foregrip to give the right angle on our grip and a Lancer Tactical 2.5-10x Scope with Laser to make target acquisition a breeze at any range. As you can see, there's still tons of keymod rail space left over, leaving plenty of opportunity to customize this rifle just how you'd like it!


The aptly named CQB upper shoots just under 350 FPS right out of the box, ideal for any CQB situation. This upper has a 6.5" outer barrel and a full metal, 6" keymod rail system. The keymod slots on this rail are located on the bottom and sides, but there are fewer than on the SPR upper. The included ICS flip-up sights on the CQB upper have a much lower profile than those on the SPR upper.


The CQB upper receiver is sporting a  NcSTAR Green Laser and Nav Light Box to assist with close-quarters engagements and a Lancer Tactical Mini Red/Green Dot Sight for anything longer range than that.


The real magic of this setup happens in the ICS Split Gearbox Design. This design allows for a separate upper and lower gearbox. The upper has all the compression components, including the spring, meaning swapping uppers allows you to change your FPS by popping out a couple of pins! Also, diagnosing problems with this design is much easier, as many gearbox components are in plain sight. The split gearbox design allows the upper and lower receiver to separate as on a real AR platform. Changing barrel length, FPS, setups, and rail systems is as easy as popping out two pins.

 

The lower receiver differs slightly from the standard ICS Transform4, which features an ICS MTR S1 stock. This stock is incredibly comfortable and has a ton of space available for fitting batteries ranging from 9.6v butterflies to 11.1v stick LiPos. It also has an attached sling mount plate that is perfect for any single-point sling. The body pins on this lower are captive, making swapping uppers easier than you'd imagine.

This setup is quite the unique one, and it can either save you a lot of money by not having to purchase two different guns for outdoor limits and CQB limits or save you the headache of having to swap out your spring to change FPS. On top of that, you can build out two complete uppers to your liking when it comes to optics and accessories to optimize your builds for every field.
