Classic Army has released its newest addition to the M4 family, the Vehicle Crew Weapon! We're excited to start carrying this high-quality rifle and have it as our gun giveaways!
The Classic Army VCW is another addition to the full metal selection of rifles that Classic Army offers. The VCW was meant for those looking for a compact rifle that could maintain effectiveness in the field.
Coming in at just 26" fully collapsed and 30" extended, the rifle is great for those looking to maintain control of the rifle without worrying about full-size rifles that lack maneuverability. For increased handling, Classic Army has also included a stubby vertical grip, which can be placed wherever the operator would like.
In addition to the vertical grip, the VCW features a full Rail Interface System for mounting flashlights, lasers, and everything else you need to complete the job. On the front of the left and right side rails, you will find two QD Swivel Attachment Points for those who want to add sling points to the rifle.
The VCW has an orange tip installed; however, in the box, they also include a noise amplifier that uses a 14mm CCW to 16mm CW adapter. The rifle uses 14mm CCW; however, it looks like the noise amplifier does not.
Pulling back the charging handle reveals the CNC aluminum hop-up unit, the nice touch of a printed American Flag, and the rifle caliber on the dust cover. Additionally, on the left side of the rifle, you can find the stamped lettering of the model and serial number of the rifle.
Internally, you will find the standard Classic Army high-quality parts that we've come to expect. The barrel is a 191mm 6.03 tight bore, increasing velocity and accuracy. The gearbox is a 9mm Bearing Gearbox with a Quick Change Spring system, wire-cut 21:1 ratio gears, and a stainless steel and aluminum bore-up cylinder head.
The rifle is rear-wired to the crane stock, and inside the buffer tube, you will find the Classic Army's standard inline MOSFET, protecting your trigger contacts and allowing you to run higher voltage batteries such as Li-Po's. The airsoft mosfet is hard-wired to a male Dean's plug; however, it does come with the Dean's to Tamiya adapter. The rifle shoots at about 380 FPS out of the box, making it an ideal weapon for close to mid-range engagements. The Quick Change Spring System makes it easy to shoot the rifle at your desired velocity, allowing you to play indoors and outdoors with a simple spring change.
Included in the box are the rifle itself, two 300-round high-capacity magazines, the Classic Army courtesies such as the unjamming/cleaning rod, and a rifle bag for transporting your new rifle. As stated before, the VCW is Li-Po ready with the MOSFET, and the trigger response is nice and crisp on the 11.1v Li-Po we were using.
Overall, this is another amazing rifle from Classic Army. For those looking for a quality compact rifle that still packs a punch, the Classic Army VCW is perfect!
