Classic Army M24 LTR Sniper Rifle

One of our newest additions to our sniper rifle lineup is the Classic Army M24 Light Tactical Rifle, or LTR for short. Once again, Classic Army has outdone itself on the internals, as the M24 comes with a 6.03mm tight bore barrel, a full-metal trigger box, and a very durable stock made out of dense nylon fiber. Additionally, it is 100% VSR-10 compatible, which allows you to throw in a large variety of aftermarket parts and upgrades to make sure you hit your target every single time.

The Classic Army M24 is a full 1:1 scale replica of the Remington M24, which is the police and military version of the Remington M700. The real M24 is chambered in the 7.62x51mm  NATO round, with a maximum range of about 900 yards. Unfortunately, the Classic Army M24 won't have the range of the Remington M24.

Glancing over the rifle, the first thing you notice is the weight. The gun comes in at about 5 pounds, a good solid weight for those looking for a more realistic rifle over the lightweight polymer rifles. The stock is made out of a dense nylon fiber, and the upper receiver assembly, including the barrel, trigger box, and hop-up unit is made out of metal, which balances the rifle out quite a bit. On the underside, you will find two swivel sling points on the front and rear ends of the gun. Just behind the front sling point is your standard Harris-style Bipod Mount. The rifle is a VSR-10 clone, which houses the 25-round magazine just behind the bipod mount. The magazine can be released quickly by pushing the button in front of the magazine well. Right above the magazine well, you will find the hop-up adjustment slider on the left side of the rifle, next to the barrel. The slider, as well as the rest of the hop-up unit, is made out of metal as opposed to polymer.

The internals of this rifle has not been overlooked, as we've come to expect from Classic Army. Sporting a 515mm 6.03mm tight bore barrel, this rifle is extremely accurate at long ranges. As mentioned before, it features a full-metal hop-up unit, as opposed to the polymer units. The trigger box is also full metal and is a very crisp and clean break, with no mushiness to the trigger. As if there wasn't enough that you thought was metal already, the piston and cylinder are both metal, with a 90° trigger sear and piston. A 90° sear is superior to 45°, as it is much more resistant to slam firing, which is when the sear fails to catch the piston when pulling back the bolt due to wear and tear.

Once gain, this rifle is 100% VSR-10 compatible, which means all of the parts can be replaced. The spring can be upgraded to bring your velocity to the maximum that your local airsoft field allows, without needing to worry about replacing the metal spring guide buckling under the stress of a higher-strength spring. While almost all the parts have been upgraded, as mentioned before, nothing is proprietary, which is rare in most pre-upgraded guns.

Overall, the Classic Army M24 sniper rifle is a great starting platform for anybody who would like to get into the sniper role and is looking for a rifle that works out of the box. Whether you're looking for a new gun to upgrade to its fullest or just starting, the Classic Army M24 is a superb rifle for the price.
