ASG CZ 805 Bren

Something wonderful has landed at our shop, the ASG CZ 805 Bren! We're excited to add this to the family, as we were given a teaser at Shot Show 2016. This is the first production model to be in the United States. The final product is just as amazing as we'd hoped!

The CZ 805 Bren was developed by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod in 2006 and has been in use since 2011 with two types, the "A" series rifles chambered in 5.56mm and the type "B" series chambered in 7.62mm, as well as creating them both in a Marksman rifle with a 14.5" barrel, and a carbine version with a 12" barrel. The rifle has seen action in Afghanistan and is a standard issue for Czech Slovakia's armed forces. While the airsoft version doesn't have the range of a few hundred meters like the real one, it does, however, resemble it remarkably!

The first thing we noticed about the Bren was its solid weight - the upper receiver is CNC-machine aluminum, while the lower is a high-grade polymer like the real one. The version pictured above is the two-tone gun-metal gray A1 version, one of their four versions. There will be a two-tone gray as well as a flat desert tan. Each color option will have an A1 (14.7" barrel) and an A2 Carbine (12.2" barrel).

Continuing with ASG's standing relations with CZ, the gun is licensed and comes with aesthetic-pleasing trademarks. It will be a unique weapon to be brought to the battlefield.

The rifle is fully ambidextrous, as is the real version, with the selector switch, magazine release, cheek rest, and rapid-deployment buttons on the iron sights working for both right and left-handed shooters.

Complete with a fully adjustable folding stock and the aforementioned cheekrest. The 805 Bren is ready for anything you encounter on the battlefield, from long-range engagements to clearing buildings.

Removing the body pin and pushing down on the stock will remove the stock entirely to expose the battery compartment, where you can fit an AK-style stick battery or a thin Li-Po battery. Underneath the battery compartment, you will find the rear of the gearbox with a featured quick-change spring guide, allowing you to make adjustments with ease without tearing apart the rifle completely.

Speaking of the gearbox, the CZ 805 Bren features a Version 3 gearbox with some proprietary parts. The motor is a short-type high-torque motor and steel gears inside the gearbox. The progressive spring is accompanied by a steel ball-bearing spring guide.

The rifle comes with one high-capacity M4-style magazine and will feed with almost any standard M4 magazine. There's no need to pick up some proprietary magazines for this guy!

Finally, the statistics! The rifle itself is 36 inches, 7 pounds of pure awesomeness. We saw highly consistent shots of about 392 FPS at the Chrono, with minor fluctuations when shooting with 0.2g BBs. The rate of fire will vary by the battery voltage you're using, but when we plugged in an 11.1V Li-Po, we got about 21 rounds per second. Overall, this is a very solid gun and will be a unique weapon to bring to the battlefield. We're very excited to start carrying it!
