One of the first things players notice about this gun is its weight. The construction is mainly of dense polymer, with metal internals to handle the force of the CO2. Overall, it weighs just under 600 grams (roughly over 1lb). It feels comfortable in hand due to the rubber grip, which features a checkered texture for added grip.

While the airsoft gun is non-blowback, it does feature a functional hammer that drops when the trigger is pulled. The mechanism is double-action, which means that pulling the trigger will also pull back the hammer and drop it at the same time. Additionally, the gun does have a working safety mechanism, which can be applied with the hammer up or down.

While the gun itself is non-blowback, the slide does slide back partially to reveal the hop-up unit, which can be adjusted using a hex screw. Pulling back the slide will cock the hammer, which for those who are looking for a bit of a more satisfying action of being able to pull back the slide to 'load' the weapon, is a nice touch.

The magazine itself houses both your ammunition and your CO2 cartridge, unlike the 'Stick Mags', which some non-blowback guns use to house the CO2 in the gun itself. The magazine is a single-stacking 15-round magazine, which is extremely easy to load. Simply pulling the follower all the way down locks it into place at the bottom and then feeds the BBs through the opening at the top. Once the BBs have been fully loaded, there is a small tab that protrudes from the rubber cap on the bottom of the airsoft magazine that can be pushed to release the follower, and you're good to go!

Finally, the statistics! Out of the box and with a few shots out of the CO2 cartridge, we were seeing pretty consistent results at around the 350 FPS mark with a 0.2g BB. The shots were nice and straight, and you can use heavier-weight BBs to account for heavier winds, as well as adjust the hop-up to accommodate for the heavier BBs. The gun fits in the ASG Strike Systems CZ-75D locking holster, which makes it much easier to keep your pistol secure. Additionally, on the back of the grip, there is a lanyard loop for attaching a lanyard, such as the ASG Retention Lanyard, for additional security. Overall, this pistol is great for anyone looking for a quality pistol that is conservative on CO2 without sacrificing quality!

When considering top picks for airsoft pistol brands, the ASG CZ 75D Compact Co2 Pistol stands out as a notable mention. Its fully licensed 1:1 scale replica, detailed with trademarks, emphasizes quality and authenticity. Featuring a blend of dense polymer construction and metal internals, it offers a comfortable grip and reliable performance under CO2 power. This model exemplifies the blend of functionality and efficiency, making it an excellent choice for both new players and those looking to upgrade

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the most precise CO2 pistol?

The most precise CO2 pistol can vary based on individual preferences and specific uses, but models like the ASG CZ 75D Compact CO2 Pistol are highly regarded for their accuracy and reliability. Other popular options include the Umarex Beretta M92 A1 and the Sig Sauer P226, both known for their precision and build quality. These pistols are often used in competitive shooting and training due to their consistent performance.

Do all CO2 pistols leak?

Not all CO2 pistols leak, but it can be a common issue if not properly maintained. Leaks can occur due to worn-out seals, improper installation of the CO2 cartridge, or damage to the valve. Regular maintenance, proper handling, and using high-quality CO2 cartridges can minimize the risk of leaks. Ensuring that the seals are lubricated and in good condition is also crucial for preventing leaks.

Is it OK to leave CO2 in a gun?

It is generally not recommended to leave CO2 cartridges in a gun for extended periods. Leaving CO2 in the gun can put constant pressure on the seals, potentially causing them to wear out faster and increasing the likelihood of leaks. For optimal maintenance and longevity of your CO2 pistol, it’s best to remove the CO2 cartridge after each use. If you need to leave the cartridge in for short periods, ensure it is stored in a cool, dry place.
