Out of the box, we noticed that it's a lightweight yet rigid rifle made out of a high-grade nylon fiber material that cuts down on the weight and the cost but makes it durable. The upper receiver features a billet design, increasing its overall strength. It feels solid in hand and should hold up to the challenge of everyday use.
The handguard has grooves along the sides, allowing you to hold the rifle more comfortably, and it has threaded slots for the two included rail segments to mount to the sides to attach your lights and lasers and whatever else you see fit. The bottom of the handguard has keymod rail slots so that you can mount a bipod or grip on the bottom with standard keymod rails.
Classic Army included flip-up sights with the gun that are fully adjustable for both windage and elevation, which are easily deployed by simply pulling up on them, as well as quickly put away with the push of a button on the side as a backup in case your optic fails.
On the buffer tube, you will find an ambidextrous sling point mount, allowing you to comfortably and securely sling the rifle with a one point sling for rapid transitions from patrol carry to shooting stance.
The crane stock is large enough to hold any standard butterfly battery and comes off easily by pushing on the two tabs on the lower end of the stock. While the rifle does come with both the battery and a wall charger, we highly recommend adding a battery for a full day of play and using an intelligent charger that will reduce the risks associated with using a stock charger.
One of the highly anticipated features of this rifle is the inclusion of an airsoft mosfet and Dean connectors, which we highly recommend to all of our players. However, for those still waiting to make the switch, the rifle also comes with the Deans to Tamiya adapter.
Classic Army has also included a dial-style hop-up unit, making easy adjustments on the fly, with a helpful engraving of which way to go up and down. Simply turn the dial down to add more backspin and hop, and turn the dial up to reduce the amount of hop.
These airsoft rifles are also entirely upgraded, as they come with a 6.03mm tight bore barrel installed, so your groupings are tighter and more accurate at longer distances.
Overall, the Classic Army Delta series are tremendous rifles out of the box, come with many great features, and are priced under $200. If you'd like to pick one up, order online or in-store!
