The VISM Micro Red/Blue dot sight is an anodized aluminum dot sight that has several amazing features. It runs off of one CR123A 3V battery and features a Quick Detach auto-locking lever for easy mounting and dismounting to your standard picatinny rail. The lever can easily be adjusted on the right side for tighter or loser hold on the rails. The windage and elevation of the sight can be easily adjusted by removing adjustment caps and following the regular procedures for sighting in your optic.

On the left side of the unit is the electronic control panel, which makes operation of the unit much more user-friendly than large bulky dials. Pressing and holding the up arrow button will turn on the unit. Pressing the arrows individually will then control the brightness of the sight and make it bright enough to be seen outside in broad daylight. Pressing both buttons simultaneously will change the color of the dot sight and will remind the brightness setting for the color of the reticle used. For example, if both reticles are at the lowest brightness setting, and you turn up the blue reticle to full brightness, it will remember the red dot at the lowest brightness level. Turning the unit off can be done by pressing and holding both the up and down arrow buttons simultaneously, and you will remember the settings for both reticles.

Now it's time for the nerd specs!  The sight is at 1.7" off the rails, which is optimized for those with M4/M16 iron sights that sit high off the rail. The reticle has unlimited eye relief, so you can mount it wherever you feel comfortable mounting it. The reticle itself is only 3 MOA (minutes of angle), which means you do not lose sight of your target, yet it is bright enough to still see. Again, it runs off of one CR123A battery, which means high output yet is still long-lasting. Finally, the unit is made out of anodized black aluminum, which makes it much more durable than some other sights that are available on the market.

The VISM Micro Red and Blue Dot Sight is available at Fox Airsoft for $64.99, which is a very reasonable price for this optic. Included in the box are the unit itself, one CR123A battery, and a rubber bikini cover for protecting your lens. Frequently Asked Questions

What does red dot sight mean?

A red dot sight is a type of non-magnifying reflector sight for firearms, airsoft guns, and other devices that provides a point of aim in the form of an illuminated red dot.

Which is better, red dot or reflex sight?

Both red dot and reflex sights have their advantages. Reflex sights are generally better for quick target acquisition and peripheral vision, while red dot sights can offer more precise aiming.

Do you need to zero a red dot?

Yes, you need to zero a red dot sight to ensure that the point of aim matches the point of impact. This involves adjusting the sight so that the red dot aligns with where your shots are hitting.

What red dot sight is best for astigmatism?

For individuals with astigmatism, prism sights or holographic sights are often recommended as they can provide a clearer reticle compared to standard red dot sights, which may appear blurry or distorted.
