JAG Arms has released its new rifle line, the PHX-15 Series! Two models have arrived at the shop, and they're amazing airsoft rifles right out of the box.
The JAG Arms PHX-15 series are the newest high-end M4 variants that JAG offers. These are beasts all around and are beautiful internally and externally, not skipping over a single detail during design. We've brought in the PHX-15 SBR, the close-quarters compact rifle, and the Crusader, the multi-purpose weapon.
These rifles are OEM by VFC, so you know they're great out of the box. Inside, they've got a VFC version 2 gearbox with a MOSFET on the rear to let you run higher-voltage batteries such as Li-Pos. They're full metal, including the lower receiver, upper receiver, and rails.
The rails are a standard MLok configuration, allowing you to mount accessories at eight different angles. This keeps the gun light without the added weight of a full quad rail system while still allowing you to add accessories if needed. The SBR comes with a 9" rail, and the Crusader with a 13" rail.
On the right side of the gun, you will find an imprinted American Flag leading the way towards the front lines, which is a very nice touch from JAG. The rifle also features an ambidextrous fire selector, which makes this a great rifle for right- and left-handed shooters.
On the front of the rifle, you will find a Madbull KX3, which gives it an even cooler look and is once again another great addition from JAG Precision. The rail slightly covers the KX3, giving it a somewhat internally suppressed look.
The stock is fully adjustable and very easy to adjust by simply pulling the lever backward. It also has an accessory rail on the bottom for a monopod.
The rifles are also rear-wired to the VFC Quick Response System stocks, which makes adjusting length easier. Like most crane stocks, the rear can be opened by squeezing two tabs together to remove the cover. The stocks can be opened by lightly pressing the two tabs and opening the door. Inside, you will find a small Tamiya adapter to attach to most crane stock batteries. The two panels for storing butterfly batteries are removable from the stock and can be removed for a slimmer look.
Overall, these are tremendous rifles out of the box, and we expected nothing less from them coming from JAG and when it's OEM by VFC. They shoot at about 380-400 FPS, perfect for most mid-to-long-range engagements. The PHX-15 Crusader is for mid-to-long-range engagements and overall dominance on the airsoft fields, and the SBR is the perfect combination of power yet compact. If you want a unique rifle on the battlefield, check out the PHX-15 series!
