The best place to play airsoft is at a sanctioned airsoft field. You will meet great people and be able to enjoy the sport in a safe environment. Airsoft equipment is very realistic looking, and for your safety and the safety of others, airsoft guns should only be used in a suitable location. In Parker, Colorado, just southeast of Denver, our field is Flat Acres Farm Airsoft Field (otherwise known as FAF Airsoft). You can bring your airsoft guns and gear, and we also rent airsoft guns and equipment to use at the field if needed.

FAF offers 3 fields: CQB, Urban, and a large outdoor field, which we rotate our game modes on to allow players to experience all types of situations. Teams are divided evenly to make things fair, but you will make friends along the way, so you are never alone.

The colors and foliage change drastically through the seasons. The photos below are provided to us by local player Marcos Chavez. These were taken in the winter.

Fox Airsoft runs FAF Airsoft in conjunction with Flat Acres Farm here in Parker. Flat Acres Farm is an attraction here in Parker in itself. Flat Acres Farm hosts events themed around its running farm on the property, food truck rallies, a fall pumpkin patch, and Halloween-themed festivities every autumn. Having a place to play airsoft safely and conveniently is a privilege. Fox Airsoft recognizes our partnership with Flat Acres Farm as pivotal to the community and the growth of airsoft as a support. Many people can't enjoy their airsoft guns as intended without a place to play, and the sport cannot grow.

FAF Airsoft has always been the local field that is open to players of all experience levels and has always been evolving so that we can improve. You can be completely new and rent equipment to get your first taste of the sport, or bring your gear if your equipment follows our safety guidelines outlined in our field rules.

FAF also holds events several times yearly, including themed games and prize giveaways!

Special Events at FAF

Before coming to FAF, here are a couple of things you should have:

  • Z87+ ANSI-rated eyewear - goggles must be full-seal and have a retention strap. Shooting glasses and mesh masks/goggles are NOT permitted.
  • Lower face protection - this is mandatory for players under the age of 18. A mesh lower mask or hard face cover is adequate. Players over 18 are not required to do this, but it is still recommended.
  • Gun bag - our facility requires gun bags in the parking lot to enter the field.
  • Biodegradable BBs - FAF is privately owned property, and we require biodegradable ammo only.

What is airsoft?

Airsoft guns are realistic-looking replicas that shoot plastic pellets. The caliber is 6mm, though others may exist. The plastic BBs are nonlethal, do not cause permanent harm, and are fired at a safe and acceptable velocity that you could use on other players while playing airsoft. Different types of airsoft guns are modeled after much of what you see in real firearms, and different technology exists to propel the BB. Pellet guns, by contrast, are dangerous and cannot be used in the same context. The metal BBs found in a pellet gun can cause serious harm or injury and are only meant for target shooting.

When we refer to airsoft as a sport, we often talk about recreational games being played in the same paintball style. That is a war game where players are placed in teams and playing competitive scenarios or force-on-force style games.

Airsoft guns do not mark like paintball guns, so airsoft is a sport that relies entirely on the honor system. Players who feel they are hit are expected to call themselves out. Airsoft has different play genres, such as speedball style (it can take on different names), milsim, and so on. Airsoft is a great way to get out, make friends, exercise, and live out the cool things you'd only think to do in a video game. Often, people deck out their airsoft guns and equipment to match their style, emulate a look, or enhance their gameplay. Some people are not necessarily about playing airsoft just for the sake of the game but are into it more for the training aspect, so there is some value there, too.

Because of the nature of the equipment and how realistic it looks, airsoft might be off-putting to the uninitiated. An important thing people should understand about the sport is the positivity it brings and how fun it can be. That begins by having a responsible attitude among our players, sanctioned fields to play at, and businesses and players who understand that airsoft needs to be looked at in a positive light and will conduct themselves in a manner that will grow the sport. Through that, we can look forward to more players joining in on the fun, having more places to play, and more ways to enjoy this amazing sport!
