About the Condor HT Holster

The Condor HT Holster is a versatile holster designed to provide a universal fit for various pistols. It features a horizontal mount that can be attached to any MOLLE platform or belt. This holster shares the same strap layout and retention system as Condor's VT (vertical MOLLE) holster and its standard drop leg holsters.

The adjustable velcro top flap ensures a secure fit for most pistols, even those equipped with a light. The holster incorporates a retention bungee and an adjustable thumb break, offering additional retention options. The thumb break has a metal button snap and extra velcro for optimal retention. The horizontal mount allows for a unique drawing style, making it suitable for players who prefer a cross-draw or unconventional configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are horizontal shoulder holsters safe?

Horizontal shoulder holsters can be safe if used correctly, but they do require careful handling. These holsters position the firearm horizontally under the arm, which can point the muzzle behind the user when worn. It's crucial to ensure the firearm is securely retained in the holster and to practice safe handling techniques to avoid accidental discharges. Proper training and awareness are essential for safely using a horizontal shoulder holster.

What is a canted holster?

A canted holster is designed with an angled orientation, typically forward, to make drawing the firearm more ergonomic and natural. The cant angle helps position the grip of the gun in a way that aligns with the shooter's natural draw motion, reducing the time and effort needed to pull the firearm from the holster. This design is popular for concealed carry, as it can help reduce printing and improve comfort.

What holster does John Wick use?

In the "John Wick" movies, the character John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, is seen using various holsters, but one of the most notable is the custom Kydex holster from Taran Tactical Innovations. These holsters are designed for quick and smooth draws, catering to the high-speed action sequences in the films. They are highly regarded for their retention, durability, and fit for competition and tactical use.

Do guns ever go off in holsters?

Guns can go off in holsters, but such incidents are rare and typically result from user error, such as improper handling, a faulty firearm, or an inadequate holster design. Modern holsters are designed to cover the trigger guard completely, reducing the risk of accidental discharge. Ensuring that the holster is properly fitted to the firearm and practicing safe handling techniques can further minimize this risk.
