  1. The Classic Army EC1 - $169.99

Click to Purchase!

Why the Classic Army EC1?  It is a quality rifle that will shoot great out of the box.  The last thing you want to do is get a new gun and be forced to tinker with it to get the performance you like.  The Classic Army EC1 is a great shooting and reliable gun with the latest features built into it. Its full quad rail system makes it easy to mount accessories such as lights, lasers, grips, bipods, and anything else you want to add to the rifle. The box includes rail covers for those who would like to grip the rail system more comfortably while shooting. Additionally, this rifle comes with a LOT of internal upgrades. The barrel has been upgraded to a 6.03mm Tight Bore Barrel, increasing your range and accuracy. The wiring of the gun features an inline MOSFET, which protects your trigger contacts and allows you to run higher-voltage batteries. One of the most common upgrades we do to almost all of our guns is to change out the Tamiya connectors for Dean's, which is a lower resistance connector over its counterpart. The Classic Army EC1 comes wired to deans and includes the Tamiya adapter. This is a great starter gun and one of our favorites.
  1. Spare Enhanced 9.6V 1600mAH Battery - $24.99

A quality battery is ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL.  This is one of the best investments you can make into your gun.  A good battery will give you 2+ years of life for regular players who charge and use their batteries weekly - just use a quality smart charger, and you're good to go!  Batteries are rather easy to read: Volts are how fast your trigger response will be. The higher the voltage, the faster the motor will spin and the higher your rate of fire will be. mAH are milliamps per hour, which is how much charge it can hold - the higher the mAH, the longer the battery will last during the day.  A good rule of thumb with batteries for airsoft - mAH = Shots Fired.  A 1600-mh battery will give you approximately 1,600 shots.  The average player usually fires close to 3,000 shots on a typical day of play.  The Classic Army EC1 comes with one of these batteries in the box, and this Starter Kit comes with an additional battery, which should give the average player enough battery charge to play for the whole day!

  1. Smart Charger - $19.99

What good are two batteries if you don't have the proper charger?  This is one of the best inexpensive investments you can make; most rifles that include chargers have standard wall chargers, or what we call 'dumb' chargers. These chargers will often include instructions to plug in the battery, let it charge for up to 6 hours, and then unplug it. These chargers do not have a function to tell when the battery is fully charged, which can lead to undercharging or, worse, overcharging the battery. Most of these chargers are in the 250mAH output range, meaning charging each battery would take up to 6 1/2 hours. Smart Chargers, on the other hand, have a much higher output, coming in at 1 amp per hour, which is 4 times faster than the standard charger, meaning it would take just over an hour for it to charge one battery! Additionally, these chargers have a feature that will automatically cut off the charge when the battery is fully charged, which is essential. Hence, you no longer have to worry about overcharging or undercharging your batteries.

  1. Bottle of 0.25g BB's, 2700 Count - $9.99

Click to Purchase!

Now that we've prepped the rifle and are ready to play, it's time to throw in some BB's! ONLY use quality BB's bought from airsoft stores, not from Big Box Stores or Sporting Goods Stores.  A bad BB will damage a perfectly good gun faster than anything else.  We've seen multiple brands of BBs claiming to be "high quality" or "precision grade" from Big Box Stores that are not compatible with quality guns.  It's not worth using them; they will also void your warranty. The BB's we include and recommend through this rifle are Elite Force BB's, high-grade polished BB's that will not jam or break inside your gun. These are 0.25g BB's, which means they will be more accurate than the typical 0.20g.

  1. ASG Thermal Tactical Lens Goggles - $29.99

Click to Purchase!

Many fields are now switching to the new standard of safety goggles, which are three key parts: They must be ANSI Z87 rated or above, they must have a retention band that goes around the head to prevent them from falling off, and they must have full seal (no gaps) around the frame to prevent BB's from ever getting inside your goggles. With all three of these components, your goggles will be safe from BB's ever breaking through your goggles. These ASG Thermal Tactical Lens Goggles not only hit all of the marks but also combat another problem that has become an issue - fogging! These goggles have a dual-lens setup, creating a two-layer chamber system to prevent fogging.

  1. Mesh Mask - $19.99

So we've gotten eyes out of the way, but equally important to protect is the lower half of your face. Airsoft BB's can break teeth and are not easy to fix. A mesh mask is a form of protection around the mouth. These mesh masks protect the soft skin around the face, such as your cheeks and mouth. Like the goggles, this mesh mask uses a retention band around the head that, when worn properly, will not slide off the face. Mesh masks provide much more protection over other items, such as a shemagh or a wrap.

  1. Echo1 34" Rifle Bag - $19.99

Click to Purchase!

Rifle Bags are useful for transporting your rifle and a much safer way of doing so. These rifles are meant to look realistic, and the blaze orange tip can be easy to miss, which means this can be mistaken for a real rifle. You need a rifle bag to keep you safe and transport it from home to the field. The Echo1 34" rifle bag features an easily opened and closed zipper compartment for storing your rifle and outside pockets for storing spare magazines, sidearms, and other accessories such as batteries and optics.

With a total of $294.93, the Starter Package is everything you need to play, coming in only at $249.99, with almost $50 in savings! Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment do you need to start airsoft?

To start playing airsoft, you need several essential pieces of equipment. First, you'll need an airsoft gun, which can be a pistol, rifle, or shotgun depending on your preference. A reliable and rechargeable battery (if you choose an electric gun) or gas canisters (for gas-powered guns) are also necessary. You will also need BBs, which are the ammunition used in airsoft guns. Safety gear is crucial, including eye protection (goggles or a full-face mask) to protect your eyes from BBs, and a face mask or mouth guard to shield your face. Additionally, wearing durable clothing, gloves, and boots can provide extra protection and comfort during gameplay. Lastly, a tactical vest or chest rig can help carry extra magazines, BBs, and other accessories.

What should I know before playing airsoft?

Before playing airsoft, it's important to understand the basic rules and safety protocols. Airsoft is a sport that emphasizes honor and integrity, so always call your hits when you're struck by a BB. Familiarize yourself with the specific field's rules where you will be playing, as they can vary. Safety should always be a top priority; never remove your eye protection while on the field. Understanding your airsoft gun's mechanics, such as how to load it, adjust the hop-up, and safely handle it, is also crucial. Lastly, be prepared for physical activity, as airsoft involves running, crouching, and quick movements.

What should I buy first in airsoft?

When starting in airsoft, the first thing you should buy is a good quality airsoft gun. For beginners, an electric gun (AEG) like an M4 or AK variant is often recommended due to their versatility and ease of use. Along with the gun, purchase essential protective gear, including eye protection and a face mask. Next, buy a few extra magazines and a sufficient supply of BBs. If your gun is electric, don't forget to get a good quality battery and charger. Once you have these basics, you can gradually add more gear, such as tactical vests, gloves, and additional accessories.

Is airsoft an expensive hobby?

Airsoft can be an expensive hobby, but the cost varies depending on the quality of gear and frequency of play. Initial costs include purchasing an airsoft gun, protective gear, and accessories, which can range from a few hundred to several hundred dollars. Ongoing expenses include BBs, batteries or gas, maintenance, and field fees. While high-quality equipment can be costly, there are budget-friendly options available for beginners. As with many hobbies, costs can be managed by starting with essential gear and gradually upgrading over time.

Does airsoft leave bruises?

Yes, airsoft can leave bruises, especially when BBs are fired at close range or at high velocity. The impact of a BB can cause a small, round bruise or welt, which may be more noticeable on bare skin. Wearing proper protective clothing, such as long sleeves, pants, and gloves, can help minimize the risk of bruises. Additionally, following safety rules and maintaining a safe distance during gameplay can reduce the likelihood of injury.

What is the number one rule in airsoft?

The number one rule in airsoft is safety first. Always wear proper eye protection to prevent serious injuries. Never remove your goggles or face mask while on the field, even if you think the game has stopped. Following the safety rules not only ensures your well-being but also the safety of other players. Additionally, always handle airsoft guns as if they were real firearms, keeping your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot and not pointing the gun at anything you don't intend to shoot.
