The new ICS BLE Alpha is finally here! This is ICS's entry into the gas blowback pistol market. We did a preliminary feature on the pistol at Shot Show 2016, and the first production models in the U.S. just landed at Fox Airsoft! The final product has a beautiful finish and is ready for action.

The first thing you'll notice about the gun is its clean lines on the overall dimensions. The first models we came in were very well-oiled, as you'll notice in some of the pictures. It's great to know that they have great factory lubrication. Some other pistols on the market can come dry, leading to mags leaking, especially in our dry climate in Colorado.
We mounted an NCStar Light with a Green Laser for our demonstration pistol. This fits nicely onto the picatinny rail molded into the polymer frame.
The pistol features an ambidextrous slide release as well as a magazine release. These are great features, especially for those left-handed shooters out there.
The gun currently comes with a 24-round green gas magazine. ICS tells us that a CO2 version of the pistol will be produced in the future. The release date had yet to be announced at the time of this writing. CO2 has a higher pressure than green gas, and it means that the internals of the CO2 gun will need to be designed to withstand the increased pressures. Green gas already includes the required lubricant inside the canister, so this shouldn't be an issue with the current magazines. Something else notable in the magazine is the increased size of the feed lip. This part is more beefed up over standard feed lips. ICS will make the feed lips available for future purchases if they become damaged over time.
Field stripping the gun is very straightforward. Remove the magazine, bring the slide back, then push and rotate the field strip lever down. Gently move your top slide forward to remove it from the polymer frame.
This exposes critical areas that will need to be cleaned. It also allows you access to your adjustable hop-up unit as well.

Our testing found that the BLE Alpha will fit in some locking Glock 17 holsters. Shooting the gun was a blast - it came in between 280 - 300 fps using Elite Force .20g BBs.
The gun will be released in 4 color variations: Black, Tan, Black/Tan, and Tan/Black. For our initial shipment, we received the black and the tan variants and expect to see the 2 tone models in the near future.
